Parambir Sekhon (Barrister & Solicitor)

Parambir practiced law in Singapore for almost 10 years before taking the decision to leave Singapore for Adelaide. He has been practicing law in Adelaide since February 2005.
Parambir obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Wales with Honours in July 1992. He sat for and passed his Bar Exams and was admitted as a Barrister to the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in London in July 1993.
He then sat for and passed Singapore's equivalent of the Bar exams and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in July 1994. He was subsequently admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia in February 2005.
In the course of his practice in Singapore, he appeared in trials and in appeals in both civil and criminal matters and has represented clients in the different courts from the Magistrates Court to the Court of Appeal, the highest court in Singapore. A number of Practitioner's cases have been reported in the law reports in Singapore and in South Australia.
Throughout his practice in Singapore and in Adelaide Parambir has realized the importance of assisting the less fortunate members of society and has, for either nominal or no fees, acted for numerous clients who would otherwise not have been able to obtain legal representation.
